EAI Vision:  Our vision over the next 25 years for Ireland is that:

The Kingdom of God becomes UNAVOIDABLE in every sphere of Irish life

Evangelicals are Christians who believe in the revelation of God given in the Bible, the salvation obtained by Jesus through the cross, the new birth brought about by the Holy Spirit and the command to proclaim and demonstrate this Good News of the Kingdom of God to all.

Our vision of unavoidable Christianity is that at every turn, in every place, the Christian message would be seen, heard or encountered in some way that people could not help but “trip” over it! TV debates would ask for an evangelical voice; politicians would seek evangelical input; media would publish evangelical views. Community bodies would have evangelical involvement. Universities would teach courses on biblical values. Art galleries would display the work of evangelical artists. Companies would operate not for profit alone but also for a higher purpose.  Evangelical architects would design new buildings and public spaces with Christian values in mind. Issues such as justice, peace, wholeness, truth, mercy and love would become part of the public debate.

The reaction could be positive or negative, but the Kingdom of God would be unavoidable.

If such a vision were achieved we expect that the Lord would move. Our deep desire is that many would believe and follow Christ in the Kingdom of God. We see that the role of evangelical Christians is to obey the commission of Jesus primarily through the churches and that God will own and take care of the result.

So our vision is that the Kingdom of God becomes UNAVOIDABLE in every sphere of Irish life, and EAI will take many actions in order to achieve this.

MISSION

The mission is what EAI will seek to do every day to move closer to the vision:

To mobilise evangelicals into engagement with society.

This will be a journey that will begin with change and transformation in the leadership of EAI. Then it will be the relentless focus of EAI so as to enable the achievement of the vision. So we will seek to pray, envision, model, encourage, bless and mobilise the church so as to see the Kingdom of God becoming UNAVOIDABLE in every sphere of Irish life.
